17 days to departure...
The bike from Gildo is on the air and will arrive in Miami tomorrow. So much bureaucracy he said next time he will buy one and drive with it instead of exporting his bike out of Brazil...
Found a company that will do the insurance for all the countries outside the US. Very pricy...us$1300, but it is worth it. If some guerrilheiros wants to take my bike, he can have it... as long as he drops me in the near airport.
Still cannot decide about the camping gear. Too many options, and the books I am reading about mosquitos, snakes, ticks (carrapatos/zecke)does not encourage me... but I guess that by Sunday I will have to do it, since I am flying to Germany for a meeting and when I return, I will have less than a week to departure.
Bought a waterproof digital camera, so very interesting pictures will be posted.

I read that the mosquitos can fly at about 85 Km/h speed, just keep your speed above that and you will have no mosquitos.\
