Cuenca, Ecuador
Cuenca is famous for Gold jewelry, Hats (called Panama hats, but made in Cuenca), porcelain and churches. The finest hat could cost up to 500 usd and take from six month to a year to be manufactured. Tomorrow we will be at the border of Peru
Cuenca will be in our hearts also because we made two new friends: Patricio Ordoñez Peñaherrera and Pablo Daniel Jaramillo. Both are very experienced motorcyclist. Patricio has more than 50,000 km under his tires and Pablo has extensive experience in South America trails. Both have given us a great deal of assistance to choose the best route suitable for this time of the year and the type of our bikes. We are very thankful for their help. Muchas Gracias, Patricio e Pablo.
Muchas Gracias, Patricio e Pablo.
