San Pedro fica no meio do Deserto do Atacama, considerado o lugar mais seco do mundo, pois não chove nunca. San Pedro é um Oasis no meio de uma secura só. Descobrimos um desfiladeiro de babar… Chamava-se vale del Tiempo.. Visitamos duas lagoas lindas de tirar o fologo, literalmente, pois ficam a 4000 metros. Este local foi habitado a mais de 11.000 anos e é a capital arqueologica do Chile, rodeados de Geiser, salares e lagoas.e bem perto do famosos vulcão Licancabur. San Pedro fica a 1800 km de Santiago e está sempre com muitos turistas ecologicos que ficam mudos diante de tanta beleza junta. A cidade é meio poerenta, mas tem um clima mistico. Gostamos bastante, embora seja cara.

San Pedro is an Oasis in the middle of the Atacama Desert, where it never rains and it is considered one of the driest places on earth. People have been living in this area for more than 11000 years and it is the archeological capital of Chile, with its Geysers, salt dry lakes and lagoons. Nearby is the famous Licancabour volcano. We drove to two lagoons so beautiful we were breathless, literally, because it was at 4000 meters/ 13,000 feet. San Pedro receives lots of ecological tourism and its dusty streets have a mystical feeling in the air. All this beautiful has a price and hotels are not cheap there…
